Public Affairs Minor

The minor in public affairs offers students the opportunity to become more knowledgeable in the field of public administration and the policy implications of the public sector. It is available to students who are enrolled in baccalaureate programs and can enhance career opportunities for liberal arts and other majors.

Program Requirements


Each minor requires 15 hours of specified courses with a 2.0 grade point average. Public Policy majors may only double-count 6 of the required 15 credit hours in other Public Policy major or minor requirements. Students may earn more than one minor from Public Policy, but each minor must have at least 9 credit hours that are not satisfying other major or minor requirements. In addition, at leat 6 resident credits must be at the 200-level or above.
