NUR 44250 - Leadership In Nursing For The Registered Nurse


Concepts presented focus on leadership. Leadership is viewed as interpersonal action using the communication process to influence group members to set and attain goals/outcomes. The purpose of the course is to introduce/develop collaborative, first-level leadership skills that assist in practicing in a culture of safety to ensure optimal patient care outcomes. Class activities will focus on contemporary leadership topics. NUR 46150, a 45 hour practicum, will be taken in conjunction with either NUR 41850 or NUR 44250.
