It gives me great pleasure to welcome you and to thank you for selecting Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne for your graduate studies. If you earned your undergraduate degree here, we’re glad to have you back with us again. If you’re new, we hope you will soon feel at home on campus.
The curricula in our graduate programs are of the highest quality. Members of our graduate faculty are not only dedicated teachers, many are also nationally and internationally recognized scholars. A further assurance that IPFW degrees adhere to recognized national standards is the professional accreditation held by specific degree programs.
The specific educational needs of individuals and businesses in northeast Indiana is the impetus to create graduate programs at IPFW. The programs are designed to prepare leaders for our increasingly diverse society and sophisticated workplace. Many graduate programs offer unique theoretical and practical learning experiences that draw on community resources. And the small size of graduate classes gives you and your faculty the opportunity for in-depth exploration of complex subjects.
Please remember that all students can avail themselves to university services and support programs. The recreational facilities of the Gates Sports Center, informational resources of the Helmke Library, musical performances at The John and Ruth Rhinehart Music Center, plays at the Williams Theatre, and job placement through Academic Success Center and Career Services are just a few of the opportunities available to you.
You have my best wishes for achieving your personal and career goals through graduate studies at IPFW.
Sincerely,
Michael A.Wartell
