You may earn a minor in mathematics by completing at least six courses in mathematics and statistics, totaling at least eighteen credit hours. Your selection of courses should be appropriate for your major, and your program for a minor must be approved by the department’s program review committee. Two calculus courses must be included. College algebra or trigonometry courses are excluded; one computer science course may be substituted for a mathematics or statistics course. You must have a GPA of 2.3 or higher in all courses included in your minor, no more than one grade as low as C-. At least 6 credits must be earned as resident credit at the 200 level or above.
You must contact the Department of Mathematical Sciences to declare this minor.
